Anthony Joshua Daniel Dubois fight loss future

The discussion kicks off with Joshua's shocking defeat to Dubois, where many fans express disbelief over his performance. Critics highlight Joshua's form since his losses to Usyk, suggesting that he appeared gun-shy, lacking the aggression needed in the ring. There is a palpable sense of anxiety among the commentators about Joshua's future in the sport, especially considering the multitude of knockdowns he suffered during the fight.12

As the conversation unfolds, opinions diverge on the implications of Joshua's performance. Some argue that this may signal the end of his career, emphasizing the need for him to reassess his approach or contemplate retirement. Others criticize the lack of urgency in his corner, feeling that they should have pulled him from such a one-sided contest earlier.34

The sentiment shifts slightly as fans begin to discuss potential next steps for Joshua. While some believe he may not have the skill set to reclaim his status, others hold out hope for a comeback. Dubois, credited for his impressive performance, raises questions about how Joshua will deal with future matchups against formidable opponents.56

"Dubios destroyed him there. That was a brilliant performance."

"Thought he was going to stage a comeback them ooof."

Plenty of people haven't enjoyed the last few years of Fury's time as champ because he's been a poor champion. Not in terms of ability, but has far less desire to chase greatness and do what you'd associate with a champion compared to somebody like Usyk. Fake retirements, preferential treatment from WBC, being a classless bellend etc.

I wonder where he goes from here.

I'd give that first round to Usyk.
I thought it was a pretty easy fight to score personally.
Usyk 1,2,3,8,9,10,11
Fury 4,5,6,12.
Only swing round was 7 for me.

Fury's corner was an absolute embarrasment. Sugar trying to give advice whilst his dad was just screaming over him. Andy Lee telling him the fight was won after the 10th round. Even the cutman was giving him advice at one point

Has he activated the rematch clause?

Yes, he has activated the rematch clause. Not sure if it will happen or not though - I still think Usyk might retire. Any rematch won't be for all the belts, Usyk is set to be stripped of the IBF belt in the coming weeks. I think Usyk is also temporarily banned by the BBBC for injuries he sustained in the fight but that is only a one month or so ban.

Rewatched the Fury fight again last night and had Usyk much more comfortable than when I watched it live. Fury just didn't have the legs to push home the advantage whenever he had a bit of success.

Josh Taylor v Jack Catterall 2 tonight.

Unless Taylor is able to recover the sort of form he had against Prograis and Ramirez I can see this being another stinker.

Catterall looks like he is here to do what he knows he can and will; Taylor looks like he doesn't want to be there

4-1 Catterall. He's bossing this now. Will probably get a stoppage.

Taylor's head movement disappeared after the third round.

Taylor doesn't seem to have the power to bother Catterall

What a great fight.

I think Catterall has won it but it could be close.
