Detroit Lions will be featured in this year's Hard Knocks.

A little bit meh I guess, though their coach seemed interesting.

Devante Adams and Tyreek Hill have looked like two of the best receivers in the league over the past few years. We have to remember though that they were the favourite receivers for two great QBs.

Rodgers lost Greg Jennings and Jordy Nelson over the years and they didn't do much after leaving.

Brady lost Deoin Branch and Wes Welker and neither did much.

Jimmy Graham was a superstar with Drew Brees but fell off a cliff when he left the Saints.

It'll be interesting to see how Adams and Hill do without their All-pro QBs.

The list of people who match productivity with a new team is fairly small. Age is one thing but familiarity with a system/QB really does matter a lot in the NFL. We always get excited when a player hits a new team, but the reality is they rarely live up to previous highs. Especially when you're moving from a HOF QB to a middle of the pack QB.

Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians is retiring and moving into a front office role with Tampa Bay, the team announced Wednesday night. Arians will serve as the team's Senior Football Consultant. Defensive coordinator Todd Bowles will replace Arians as head coach.

"I have accomplished more than I ever dreamed I could during this incredible coaching journey," Arians said in a statement. "Winning Super Bowl LV at our home stadium, with my mom and family in attendance, was really the last item I wanted to check off my career bucket list. For me, this is about more than just trying to add more wins to my coaching record.

"This team is in a much better place than it was three years ago due to (general manager Jason Licht's) great work and the Glazer family's commitment to winning. Before you start thinking this is about my health, don't. This is the best I have felt in many years and I'm looking forward to helping this team continue winning through my new role."

Strange timing, but with Brady back this gives Todd Bowles a chance to be successful. Brady can work with Leftwich and Bowles can run the rest of the team. Should be a smooth transition.

I could see both the Adams and Hill trades as potential lose/lose situations for all teams involved.

As noted above, they likely won't be as successful in their new teams and given how key they each were to their former team's offense their replacements are unlikely to be as successful, with a decent chance of their replacements being complete busts.

Only winners will be the players who signed their big deals and given their age lower stats won't be the end of the world for them

Delighted for Bowles, I think he's a great coach and will do very well there. He foolishly took an opportunity with the toxic Jets a few years back. I pity any coach that takes a chance with the Jets, it can set your career back.

Shocked when I heard this news.

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Dwayne Haskins died Saturday morning after he was struck by a dump truck while he was walking on a South Florida highway. Haskins was 24 years old.

Florida Highway Patrol spokeswoman Lt. Indiana Miranda confirmed the accident on westbound Interstate 595. Haskins was pronounced dead at the scene.

Miranda didn't say why the 24-year-old Haskins was on the highway at the time. The accident caused the highway to be shut down for several hours.

"He was just walking on the highway and got hit," Miranda told The Associated Press.

Haskins was training in South Florida with other Steelers quarterbacks, running backs and wide receivers.

"I am devastated and at a loss for words with the unfortunate passing of Dwayne Haskins," Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said in a statement. "He quickly became part of our Steelers family upon his arrival in Pittsburgh and was one of our hardest workers, both on the field and in our community. Dwayne was a great teammate, but even more so a tremendous friend to so many. I am truly heartbroken.

"Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife, Kalabrya, and his entire family during this difficult time."
