The post presents an intriguing perspective but lacks depth and specific examples to support its claims. While it is relevant to the topic, it could benefit from more detailed arguments to enhance its impact.

CNN showing a photo with a protestor sitting in the chair Pence was sitting in a while ago.

How can Trump think he benefits from this?

Just watching this unfold.

This is absolute insanity. Four years of allowing Trump a free pass has accumulated in this.

Flailing from one crisis to another week on week and no repercussions has led to this. The man should have been put in his place form day dot.

It's going to get ugly and they only have themselves to blame.

Some season finale all the same!!!!
The end result of electing Trump to the Presidency.

This is going to turn nasty

Major embarrassment for America.

Imagine being able to storm into the House of Commons and trash the place while a few disinterested security guards stood around and watched.

Trump just has to go after this. So what if there's only another two weeks or so of his term left, he just cannot remain as president for another day.

Can he be impeached or removed quickly? I think a few Republicans might grow spines and oppose him after today's events.

The Attorney General for DC not pulling any punches on PBC. Calling it a coup d etat and calling corruption. Particularly citing the absent police and security forces relative to those present during the BLM protests.

It's what plenty are thinking but to hear officials explicitly saying it is quite shocking.

While all this has been happening both democrats have been projected as winners of the runoffs meaning that the democrats now hold the senate.

Unless Trump is removed from office, I cannot see anything improving over the next 14 days - if the inauguration actually happens on the 20th.

Regardless what Trump and his press secretary may have said....confirmation that the defence department went around Trump today, reporting to the VP and others...

Those scenes yesterday were shocking and disgraceful. I cannot fathom how people still adore him when each and every action he has done is solely for his own purpose.

As has happened many times over the past four years, I'm totally appalled by yesterday's events, but not at all surprised. I don't know whether to be more dismayed by Trump's behaviour or by the stupidity of the MAGA wearing brigade or the behaviour of those Republicans (in particular Ted Cruz) who decided to jump on the bandwagon despite knowing that there is absolutely no substance to Trump's allegations.

I think each and every one of them is a disgrace.

What a legacy he leaves.

Man that lied for two months and roused his supporters to attack and occupy government buildings issues statement that he has decided that he will transition peacefully!

And people are actually giving this any actual attention?

He had plenty of opportunities to do what was best for the country, but he chose not to.

Yesterday will be his legacy. When anyone talks about Trump, people storming the Capitol building will be what is talked about.

The man that started his presidency by claiming that US cities were in carnage, has managed to bring that carnage to the capital itself.
