The post presents an intriguing perspective but lacks depth and specific examples to support its claims. While it is relevant to the topic, it could benefit from more detailed arguments to enhance its impact.

This won't go anywhere but it is all about playing to Trump.....
Alabama has joined 16 other states in support of a lawsuit filed by the state of Texas to challenge Joe Biden's wins in four swing states – Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.

Former Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore, along with three other constitutional attorneys on Wednesday also filed a brief in support of the Texas lawsuit.

The lawsuit filed Tuesday by Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton asks the justices to block the four states from casting their Electoral College votes in favor of Biden and review allegations of irregularities.

Think they have to decide on it by tomorrow.

The general consensus seems to be that it is a suit comprised of a hodge podge of other suits, the merits of which have been unceremoniously tossed out at a state level.

There is also a strong suspicion that the Texas AG is doing this as he is under investigation and is lining up a pardon.

While those crimes are state level and can't be pardoned, it doesn't mean that a Presidential pardon won't do any good for him. It could affect the jury pool, for example.

Supreme Court rejects Texas and Trumps bid to overturn the election.

"The Supreme Court really let us down. No Wisdom, No Courage!" Mr Trump tweeted shortly before midnight, before falsely claiming the election was "rigged" and that he would "fight on".

Members of the US electoral college have affirmed Joe Biden's presidential election victory, one of the final steps required for him to take office.

The Democrat won November's contest with 306 electoral college votes to Republican Donald Trump's 232.

Under the US system, voters actually cast their ballots for "electors", who in turn, formally vote for candidates weeks after the election.

Despite this process, President Trump is not expected to accept the result.

The recent election was the first time I've really paid close attention to US politics and it's nothing short of staggering how much of a shambles their political system is in so many ways.

Watching from up here above the 49th, I can only shake my head and wonder why they do things the way they do. Why have states running federal elections (we have a federal elections agency)? Why have an electoral college? Why such a screwy, confusing registration system (we tick a box on our income tax to allow the revenue agency to pass our tombstone info to the elections agency, and can easily register with the local riding right up to election day if we move or something)?
