The post presents an intriguing perspective but lacks depth and specific examples to support its claims. While it is relevant to the topic, it could benefit from more detailed arguments to enhance its impact.

I've been looking at the reaction of the GOP as I thought the moderates may have bought an end to this shit.

If this is a sign of what's to come it's scary when their official communication spokeswoman is saying this is a coup and attempt to overthrow the government.

People are going to get killed if they convince people this is true.

Very strong statement from George Bush supporting Biden, Republican leadership turning on Trump?
George Bush's statement

DALLAS, TEXAS — I just talked to the President-elect of the United States, Joe Biden. I extended my warm congratulations and thanked him for the patriotic message he delivered last night. I also called Kamala Harris to congratulate her on her historic election to the vice presidency. Though we have political differences, I know Joe Biden to be a good man, who has won his opportunity to lead and unify our country. The President-elect reiterated that while he ran as a Democrat, he will govern for all Americans. I offered him the same thing I offered Presidents Trump and Obama: my prayers for his success, and my pledge to help in any way I can.

I want to congratulate President Trump and his supporters on a hard-fought campaign. He earned the votes of more than 70 million Americans – an extraordinary political achievement. They have spoken, and their voices will continue to be heard through elected Republicans at every level of government.

The fact that so many of our fellow citizens participated in this election is a positive sign of the health of our democracy and a reminder to the world of its strength. No matter how you voted, your vote counted. President Trump has the right to request recounts and pursue legal challenges, and any unresolved issues will be properly adjudicated. The American people can have confidence that this election was fundamentally fair, its integrity will be upheld, and its outcome is clear.

The challenges that face our country will demand the best of President-elect Biden and Vice President-elect Harris – and the best of us all. We must come together for the sake of our families and neighbours, and for our nation and its future. There is no problem that will not yield to the gathered will of free people. Laura and I pray for our leaders and their families. We ask for God's continued blessings on our country. And we urge all Americans to join us in wishing our next President and Vice President well as they prepare to take up their important duties.

Biden's lead now 20,102 in AZ, still way ahead of the recount and Trump not catching up as quickly as he needs to.

Switching between CNN and the NFL, they've just said both Eric and Don Jnr are still telling Trump to fight on and Eric still saying the election has been stolen. Senior Republicans really need to step in and put this to bed.

Right now all Trump is doing is hurting the republican party. He just needs to concede serve out the rest of term in the best manor.

I am not sure Trump understands the ballot process. He is happy to accept the House and Senate vote but they were all on the same ballot. So if he questions the posting vote, doesn't it also bring into question every other vote on the same ballot?

Why wouldn't the Democrats have rigged the Senate too and made sure they didn't lose seats in the House?

It is quite worrying how things are playing out now in America.

I've always said that Trump is the worst of the worst. In all my time studying and teaching American history and politics I've never seen or heard anything like Trump.

What they're doing now is incredibly dangerous. Even though it probably will not succeed, it's sowing the seeds of a conspiracy theory that could destabilise the US for years.

Democracy depends upon having a democratic culture. They're basically dismantling a large aspect of that and what would replace it would be a period of total chaos and it could quite literally mean the end of the United States.

Americans have walked on eggshells around these conspiracy theorists for far too long, failing to call them out or challenge them and this is where it winds up.

Effectively you've a president and political party in the White House that looks like it no longer recognises the legitimacy of the American democratic process.

What Trump is doing is destabilising America on a level that China and Russia could only dream of achieving.

Georgia is well outside the margin of error and ordinarily wouldn't get a recount. No details of how it will be done, who will do it, how long it will take, and who will pay.

No matter. The Georgia result is now kicked into the long grass. If Trump manages to knobble Pennsylvania - his lawyers are currently trying to get the entire presidential election there declared null and void - he has a route to victory. This is all about changing the narrative. Make Republicans believe something fishy went on, and that they're now attempting to put it right.

I don't think Pompeo was joking yesterday. A second Trump administration is possible.

Pompeo's apparently planning on making a run for Presidency in 2024 so he's not going to do anything that will risk alienating Trump's base.
