Thousands of cases every year across the world. One outbreak in Madagascar 5 years or so ago killed more than 100 people if I remember rightly.

You can walk from Magadan in Russia to Cape Town in South Africa. It requires no flying or sailing - just bridges and open roads.

Dinosaurs and humans never walked the Earth at the same time. It was just invented for films and cartoons. In paleontological circles, this is referred to as the 'Flintstone Fallacy'!

Today I learned that my seat on the sofa isn't mine anymore and it's been taken by Teddy the teddy bear (I learnt this when I sat down and my little girl said NO! Grabbed my hand, pulled me up and went 'teddy's chair' and put her teddy bear down instead)

There aren't an infinite mixture of gene types, so there's at least seven people around the world who look just like you.

Bone marrow or stem cell transplants (treatments for cancers like lymphoma or leukaemia) can turn humans into chimeras - meaning they 2 sets of DNA. If you tested the recipients blood, it would have the DNA of their donor, whereas something like a cheek swab would have the persons own original DNA. It can also change a persons blood type to a different one than they had previously.
