I've been scrolling through Twitter lately, and I keep seeing people raving about certain game franchises, and honestly, I just don't get it. Like, some of these games seem to be more about nostalgia than actually being fun to play. Sure, the graphics can look nice, but the gameplay? Not so much.
It feels as if you say anything against these franchises, you're immediately met with a bunch of angry fans online. So, I thought I'd throw this out there: what do you all think is the most overrated game franchise of all time?

Here are a few that come to mind:
- Call of Duty - Seriously, how many times can they recycle the same formula? I remember buying one, playing it for a couple of weeks, and then it just sat there collecting dust. The graphics might be decent, but the gameplay doesn't really evolve.
- FIFA - Man, I've been playing FIFA since the PS2 days, and I can't help but feel like it's just more of the same each year. The scripting nonsense drives me up the wall! Sometimes I wonder if I should just stick to FIFA 17 because the newer ones feel like a letdown.
- Assassin's Creed - The earlier games had their charm, but now it feels more like a chore with all the side quests. I mean, who wants to spend hours doing busy work?
- Pokémon - Don't get me wrong, I loved Pokémon as a kid, but the same cycle just doesn't hit the same now that I'm older. I tried a new one on the Switch, and the nostalgia faded pretty quickly.
