Red Bull has launched an independent investigation after allegations of inappropriate behaviour by team boss Christian Horner.

Statement from Red Bull:

"After being made aware of certain recent allegations, the company launched an independent investigation. This process, which is already underway, is being carried out by an external specialist barrister. The company takes these matters extremely seriously and the investigation will be completed as soon as practically possible. It would not be appropriate to comment further at this time."
Is it Erik Van Haren your referring to Franco Pinion Franco Pinion?

The matter with Christian Horner has been going on behind closed doors for a while, as per Erik Van Haren.

Red Bull itself confirmed it to him, and are also the ones who started the investigation, not Red Bull Racing.

Erik says from what he's heard the accusations are very serious and there allegedly is also proof of said incident.

This is why Red Bull stepped in to start up an official investigation.

Sources report that hearings on the matter involving Christian Horner are due to take place this Friday at the Red Bull factory.

A possible decision could be made quickly, preferably before the team launch on February 15th.

Christian Horner is still continuing his responsibilities as normal and was present the F1 Commission meeting yesterday.

The Swiss outfit has taken advantage of a two-year gap between its Alfa Romeo deal and the switch to full Audi works branding in 2026 to introduce a fluo green and black livery for its first season with Stake as sole title sponsor.
Sauber are reportedly facing legal issues due to their Stake sponsorship. Stake does not have a license in Switzerland, according to reports.

The Federal Casino Comission is understood to have opened preceedings against Sauber.

Alpine livery is so bad

Alpine are the fourth team to launch their 2024 car, and the fifth to launch their livery after McLaren dropped their 2024 livery back in January before their official car launch next week.

The team have retained their all-French driver duo of Gasly and Esteban Ocon for the season ahead, with the two having been evenly-matched throughout last year.

It looks very disjointed to me. Thesecond picture from the front looks terrible - where the colours on the nose section just stop when it gets back to the driver area - rubbish looking.

That won't matter if the car is fast though, but it won't be, this is Renault we're talking about - unfortunately, they haven't been good since Alonso won his titles with them.

F1 is considering making further changes to the sprint race format at the upcoming F1 Commission meeting on Friday with the possibility of a second parce ferme becoming part of the race weekend structure. This will come as a relief to Red Bull boss Christian Horner, who described the rules regarding making changes to cars as 'a joke'.

The F1 Commission meeting that took place on Monday already created some concrete changes for the 2024 season with a new sprint weekend format concocted. Under the new layout, Friday will contain the FP1 and the sprint shootout, which will be followed by the sprint race and then qualifying on Saturday. The Grand Prix will remain on Sunday.

According to a report from Motorsport.com, to go along with these changes, teams could be afforded a second parc ferme window. Previously, any changes made after the sprint shootout would force teams to start their driver from the pitlane during the Grand Prix.

The previous sprint weekend parc ferme rules were extremely unpopular. Expressing his frustrations last year, Horner said: "For me, parc ferme is a bit of a joke. You have one session to set your car up. And then the engineers may as well go home at that point.

"So, that needs looking at and that I'm sure was a contributing factor to the ride height issues of the teams that fell foul of the regulations. Effectively, it's just a long run on a sprint race. And there's no real jeopardy to it, there's no real incentive behind it."

The complications caused by the rigid parc ferme rules were put on show for all to see at the United States Grand Prix when both Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc were disqualified after Sunday's race due to excessive plank wear.

If they just called themselves Visa Red Bull Racing they'd be so much less ridiculous. Car looks easily the best of those shown so far I'd say.
