Liverpool will come into the new campaign as champions, while Sunderland are back in the big time for the first time in almost a decade, joining Leeds United and Burnley in coming up from the Championship.

There are multiple storylines to keep an eye on over the coming campaign, with nine English clubs in Europe, Manchester United facing a do-or-die season under Ruben Amorim, and Everton walking out for a home game away from Goodison Park for the first time in 133 years.

The 34th season of the Premier League and the 127th season of top-flight English football will be a dramatic, intense, and exciting as ever.

I think West Ham could be in trouble this season. Man United and Spurs will both finish ahead of them and then it's only Wolves from last season that finished below them (by a point)

They've lost Kudus and haven't recruited anyone of note, just a couple of average defenders. Walker-Peters was part of a defence that shipped 86 goals last season and got relegated

The Kudus money needs to be spent on better

Sunderland thumped West Ham 3-0 at the Stadium of Light. What a dream start for Sunderland on their return to the Premier League. Couldn't ask for a better start to their season.

West Ham are a shambles. Potter is going to be the one of the first managers to be sacked this season.

Man City top the league after putting four past Wolves. City have bought well, Reijnders and Cherki have a lot of quality. Wolves will struggle this year.

Wolves will struggle this year.
Have to say Wolves look to be in big trouble this season.

Still not convinced by Graham Potter either, so West Ham might well struggle.

I know it was the first game of the season and Wolves aren't very good but Reinjders was so impressive and looks a great buy.

Same old Man United. I expect an improvement on last year, but I think they will still struggle to reach the Top 6 in the league.

They spent £200m on three forwards when it was clear as day to everyone else that they needed to upgrade the midfield and goalkeeper first. It seems like negligence of the highest order, to be honest. I'm sure there will be United fans who can and will say I'm wrong, but looking at their goalkeepers and midfielders, I don't think I am.

Did anyone see the disallowed Crystal Palace goal?

Is that a new rule?
