Eddie Howe has left Bournemouth by mutual consent.

"Although the love for this football club will always remain, we collectively feel that now is the right time for the club to go in a new direction"

Good manager he'll be back in a job in the league before the year is out.
Over achieved initially when in the Premier League but just couldn't build on it and coupled with some bizarre investment in the transfer market, it was inevitable the Bournemouth fairytale would eventually end.

£35m on Ibe and Solanke. Couldn't set up his team to defend either. Might get the Palace job but he's not a top-half Premier League manager

It was a significant achievement for Bournemouth to survive one season in the Premier League, never mind half a dozen.

They have a small fan base in a town that has a significant elderly and retired population.

Gate receipts are constrained by the stadium's capacity.

It's a modest club which Eddie Howe inspired to punch miles above their weight. I would not be surprised if they suffered successive relegations a la Portsmouth or Swindon Town.

Frank Lampard seeking a holiday extension for Chelsea who will be out of the CL at next game on Saturday.
Frank Lampard has urged the Premier League to push back Chelsea's start to the 2020-21 season, claiming 12 September is too early for his players to recover properly given their imminent Champions League round-of-16 tie with Bayern Munich.

Chelsea face the German champions on Saturday and the chances are that, facing a 3-0 deficit from the home leg, that will signal the end of their European challenge. It would mean they face a 35-day turnaround before top-flight football restarts, a figure that exceeds the 30-day minimum agreed between the Premier League and its clubs. Should they complete a remarkable comeback at the Allianz Arena they will be entitled to begin their domestic campaign at a later date, but Lampard believes that should be the case regardless and fears consequences for his players' fitness otherwise

Solanke could provide them with the goals to either get promoted or survive in the Championship. Either would be really valuable.

If 30 days was agreed, then 30 days it should be.

Bournemouth won't end up doing to badly from Howe's signings if they sell them really Ibe only was a complete disaster and most managers have one of them on their CV.

Ake they doubled their money.

If they sell.

King, they will make very good money on.

Callum Wilson, they will make very good money on.

Brooks, they will make huge money on.

Solanke has the talent and I would not be surprised if the £20m the spent on him will look like a good deal when he plays the championship.

Ibe was probably the worst of the signing but really £15m is nothing and there were plenty of Liverpool fans that were happy to let Sterling go to City because of highly they rated Ibe I don't think anyone would have predicted he would end up being released.
