England lose 2-1 at home to Greece!

Terrible performance, thoroughly outplayed by Greece. The Greeks looked so threatening with near every attack with Vangelis Pavlidis scoring twice, his 94th minute winner coming after Jude Bellingham's late equaliser looked to have saved England's blushes.
Carsley got his tactics so wrong. They were so poor structurally.

This was a really good Greek team - they deserve credit for putting in a performance in difficult circumstances.

Erland Haaland became Norway's all-time leading goalscorer with his two goals in a 3-0 Nations League victory over Slovenia.

Captaining his country, the 24-year-old striker reached the milestone with his 33rd and 34th international goals in only his 36th international, surpassing the previous record set by Jorgen Juve.

"Of course, it is big and historic. I'm happy, and it's a fantastic record to achieve … I have many years left. I'm enjoying myself," Haaland said, as quoted by Reuters.

That is some record at any level, never mind international.

Shame he isn't Scottish!

I thought it was strange that with Kane missing England had a chance to give a backup striker a chance to get minutes in an England jersey in a competitive game, and the manager instead chose to go with a false 9. Kane has one, maybe two international tournaments left in him - it's time England made a plan for a time when he can't play every game for 90 minutes.

Well done Greece though. They could have scored more. And a fitting tribute to George Baldock.

Scotland drawing 1-1 in Croatia in their latest Nations League match.

Scotland scored after some terrible defending from the Croats. Ryan Christie's shot was heading towards the goal before being turned in by the defender. It will go down as a own goal but it should be Christie's.

Croatia equalised a few minutes later after some poor defending by the Scottish back line.

Scotland haven't played badly in their last few games but they haven't picked up any points so they need to take something from this match.

Performances have been better since the debacle of the Euros but it's the same old hard luck story for Scotland. The lack of quality up front coupled with some poor defending.

I thought the young lad Doak played well along with Gilmour. McTominay was mainly anonymous until the final 10 minutes.

Scotland draw 0-0 with Portugal. After our recent displays, I guess this is a good result. It wasn't much of a game. McTominay should have scored in the first half but headed straight at the keeper, and Christie had a half volley which was easily saved. Nothing really from Portugal either as our defence put in a decent shift for a change.

When will Portugal finally retire Ronaldo?

He's not going to retire himself, this seems absolute madness now. They have young players on that bench that could offer far more than a 39-year-old player. It just seems madness he's still being picked for the squad, let alone the starting eleven.

A better performance from Scotland but still no cutting edge.

They'll probably keep him until after next World Cup.

Scotland gets the victory they very much needed against 10-man Croatia. John McGinn with the all important goal.

Ben Doak absolutely rinsed Gvardiol the whole game.

We weren't very good but got a break when Croatia were reduced to ten men. About time we got some luck in this group.

Good finish by McGinn after some nice play by Doak, who was outstanding.

A win against Poland on Monday would put us in a League A v League B playoff but any other result and we're relegated.
