DT Jonathan Allen agrees to 3-year, $60 million deal with Vikings

The two-time Pro Bowler has a new home. The ex-Commander is heading to Minnesota on a three-year, $60 million deal, The Athletic's Dianna Russini reported. Washington released Allen ahead of free agency following his eighth season with the organization.

While the Commanders created significant salary-cap space, the Vikings added a powerful interior presence, though Allen's sack totals have declined since setting a career high with nine in 2021.

The San Francisco 49ers have told Kyle Juszczyk that they are releasing the Pro Bowl fullback, league and team sources informed on Monday night.

Juszczyk, who turns 34 in late April, has been named to nine consecutive Pro Bowls, giving the 49ers a unique threat who can block while also being a weapon in the passing game.

The 6-foot-2, 235-pounder has caught at least 14 passes in 11 consecutive seasons, including 30 as recently as 2021.

The New Orleans Saints are bringing back edge rusher Chase Young, having agreed to terms on a three-year deal worth $51 million, according to multiple reports Monday. Per ESPN, the deal has a maximum value of $57 million.

The Cowboys are bringing back wide receiver/return specialist KaVontae Turpin, who is a restricted free agent, on a three-year, $18 million deal, according to multiple reports.

Turpin had one punt return touchdown and one kick return touchdown in 2024, earning All-Pro honours.

The San Francisco 49ers plan to release defensive end Leonard Floyd, 32, according to a league source. Floyd finished second on the team with 8 1/2 sacks last season, and perhaps even more notable, was one of the few 49ers who played in all 17 games. Floyd, in fact, has played in every game possible since 2018. Three of the four defensive linemen who started in Week 1 last season are set to be released: Floyd, Javon Hargrave and Maliek Collins.

The Chiefs added a veteran cornerback, agreeing to sign Kristian Fulton to a two-year contract, according to a league source. Fulton, 27, was the No. 8 cornerback in The Athletic's NFL free-agency rankings and No. 69 overall. The Chiefs and Fulton agreed to a two-year contract worth $20 million, including $15 million guaranteed, according to a league source.

The Panthers have released RB Miles Sanders. This decision comes two years after he signed a four-year, $25 million deal with Carolina.

Sanders' release creates $5.23 million in cap space for the Panthers, with $2.95 million in dead cap, per Over the Cap. It also creates a need for another running back.

DT Greg Gaines and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have agreed to a one-year, $3.5 million deal, per a league source. Gaines, 28, has spent the last two seasons with the Bucs. In 2024, Gaines had seven solo tackles and one sack.

The Buffalo Bills and safety Damar Hamlin have agreed to a one-year extension, the team announced on Wednesday morning. The Bills former sixth-round pick who overcame a near-death on-field experience and rose to become the team's starting safety in 2024 was set to hit free agency when the new league year started Wednesday.

Joey Bosa is heading to Buffalo in a one-year, $12.6m deal.

A five-time Pro Bowl selection, Bosa has four double-digit sack seasons in his nine-year career. Injuries, however, have limited him to 28 games in the last three seasons. At the very least, he can still contribute as a rotational pass rusher for Buffalo, and possibly more, depending on his health. The Bills needed pass-rushing help after releasing the aging Von Miller on Sunday.
