A mix of both but I use my card more often.
I use cash for public transport and usually if I'm buying small items, 1 or 2 things from a corner shop etc.
I've no issue with the increase but it should be optional via a subscription.
It works out at roughly £3 a week for tv, podcasts, iplayer, radio, website and an app, you can't grumble with that.
When I did jury duty a few years ago, I had to advise the court on the first day of my hourly pay rate for expenses, which was when all the admin stuff was done before we all started legal stuff, about a week after the end of it all I received a cheque in the post from the court with full amount.
Could be a different system now though.
I was there in 2019 so things might have changed a little.
We hired a Moke and also used the reggae buses. They were great fun.
Stayed at St Lawrence Gap. Nice beaches and plenty decent places for meals.
Nice place if you want a relaxed chill out kind of holiday.
Going to watch them all over time
We had a bout of them - started with over ripe bananas. Thought we'd solved it by putting everything either in plastic containers or the fridge. Amazed to open the fridge and find three of them flying around. Seems OK now, but this must be on the increase, haven't changed our food storage habits and never had this before.
There's a guy breeding them near us. He's covered head to foot in tattoos, been raided for drugs at least 4 times and he's now breeding and selling these dogs at £9K a pup - the missus reckons it is a money laundering scheme!!

Another one jailed for an XL Bully attack. Already banned after owning a dog that attacked someone.
Dogs ram through an open door to attack a dog and a puppy. But of course everyone who owns an XL Bully tells you "he/she is just a big softie and plays with the kids and wouldn't hurt a fly"
18 months jail-time, should have been 5 years and a life ban from owning dogs.
Not yet but single future temperatures are forecast this weekend so my heating will be going on
A good salary is subjective to the individual and his/her lifestyle and circumstances. I know people who earn a very modest salary and get by and I know a couple of people who earn £150k who struggle due to their lifestyle choices.

A huge talent and a real inspiration to aspiring writers, given how (comparatively) late he came to it. The Border trilogy are three of my favourite novels of all time and I also loved The Road. The way he put words together was so beautiful.
A golden generation of men and women who stood up to the evils of the world. Truly awful yet one of the great events to read or watch about, amazing what they achieved.
Watched “My Grandad's War” with Vicky McClure and her Grandad on STV/ITV a few nights ago.
I was in a flood of tears.

I tip hairdressers, taxi drivers can keep the change up to £3 and I'll tip waiting staff if they've been decent. I will buy the bar staff a drink if I've been in somewhere a while.
If you like train journeys, there's a train from Nice that takes you up to a nice little village in the mountains called Sospel - takes about an hour each way.
Where would you start with these? I listened to one of his shorts on the Dangerous Visions: Dark Vignettes section of the BBC Sounds app and thought it was thoroughly lacking, unfortunately. Hopefully these will be better and more akin to his Whisperer In Darkness which is wonderful.

The 1970s was the best decade in terms of growth of wealth for the average worker since WW2 so, in general, that may be the best decade.
I've noticed this too. I've been doing my grocery shopping online since the turn of the year and every week there is notification that at least 2 or 3 items have increased in price between the time I place the order and it is confirmed before delivery (I usually make my order 4 or 5 days in advance).
Just finished the first "proper" day back at work since before Christmas. Good seeing everyone again :)
Speed cameras should be stealthily hidden to capture speeders.
It went through our house over Christmas week. Thankfully all in much better shape today.
