Wow, Ferrari was beaten by McLaren, Renault and Racing Point. Incredible. Sainz's move to Ferrari looking like a downgrade

Hamilton under investigation for now slowing under yellow flags, possible grid penalty.

Lewis Hamilton is at risk of being handed a grid penalty for Sunday's Austrian Grand Prix after being summoned to the stewards over two rule breaches.

Hamilton qualified second for the delayed 2020 F1 season-opener at the Red Bull Ring on Saturday, narrowly missing out on pole to Mercedes teammate Valtteri Bottas.

Hamilton managed to improve on his final lap in qualifying despite a spin for Bottas ahead that saw the Finnish driver kick up some gravel.

The FIA stewards in Austria revealed two hours after the end of qualifying that Hamilton was under investigation for failing to slow for the yellow flags shown for Bottas, as well as a potential track limits' breach at Turn 10 on his fastest lap.

Interesting reasoning they gave for not penalising him for ignoring the yellow flags.
"The video footage confirmed that there have been yellow flags and green light panels at the same time and therefore conflicting signals were shown to the driver.
Surely in the event that both yellow and green flags are shown, the yellow takes precedence? That's a pretty dangerous precedent to set from a safety point of view.

Jesus, Mercedes is another animal this year.

Bottas doing his usual false hope for us all, he starts strong then falls off. His lap was great today but I still think he has nothing on Hamilton.

Hopefully, we get a short season so we don't have to deal with this for too long.

After 14 laps, Verstappen is out after his car loses power on the track. Bottas leads Hamilton (who had a 3 place grid penalty at the start). It looks like a Mercedes 1-2 and easy afternoon.

The commentators keep talking about the Racing Point having great race pace, I'm not seeing it, Perez struggling to get by Norris and Stroll going backwards.

Engine problems for Stroll now.

Hamilton is very slowly catching Bottas. Only needs a tenth of a second a lap really.

Looks like Ricciardo has gone too. Is the heat going for the engines?

Might be, there were quite a few failures in the F3 & F2 races as well

3 cars with reliability issues in the first 20 laps. Been a while!

Verstappen, Ricciardo, Stroll all gone within 3 laps of each other.
