PSG and Liverpool are the two strongest teams left in my opinion. Liverpool could make me look silly but this PSG side isn't like the ones of a couple years ago. They are much more balanced and are particularly strong in midfield and out wide. Whoever comes out of that tie is favourite for me.
Liverpool v PSG is a hard one to call. I agree PSG are stronger than they were a few years ago. As you said they look more balanced. Arsenal and Aston Villa have a good chance of making the quarter-finals.

The right side of the draw is tough. Some very evenly matched teams.

Arsenal almost certainly into the quarter-finals after demolishing PSV 7-1 in Eindhoven, as Real Madrid beat Atletico 2-1 in the Madrid derby and Aston Villa scored two late goals against Club Brugge to take a 3-1 lead back to Villa Park

Club Brugge 1 - 3 Aston Villa
Borussia Dortmund 1 - 1 Lille
PSV Eindhoven 1 - 7 Arsenal

Two big goals near the end of the game for Villa gives them a foot into the quarter finals at 1-3.

A demolition job by Arsenal.

Excellent result for Liverpool tonight. I didn't expect them to get a result in France. I think a stonewall red card was missed for a barge in the back and Kvaratskhelia's studs on his boot were offside. PSG lack an absolute killer striker. PSG will be wondering how they didn't win that game by 2 or 3 goals but Allison Becker was immense tbf.

Still a lot of work to do but Liverpool somehow has the advantage now.

Feyenoord 0 Inter Milan 2
Bayern Munich 3 Bayer Leverkusen 0
Benfica 0 Barcelona 1
PSG 0 Liverpool 1

Not sure how Liverpool won that game. Something like 26 shots by PSG to Liverpool's 2. PSG will be a threat at Anfield.

So, Liverpool who were many people's favourites for the Champions League after the group stage, have crashed out of the tournament on penalties against a PSG team that was by far the better team over the two legs.

Both Arsenal and Aston Villa have progressed after impressive aggregate wins over PSV (9-3) and Club Brugge (6-1) respectively.

Bayern Munich strolled by Bundesliga rivals Bayer Leverkusen (5-0 on aggregate), and another Bundesliga team, Borussia Dortmund also progress after coming back to beat Lille 3-2 on aggregate.

Barcelona and Inter Milan are also through.

The Atletico v Real derby is currently 2-2 on aggregate and playing extra-time to conclude this round.

I honestly can't believe they made the decision to rule out the Alvarez penalty, based on 10 seconds of looking at it. I've seen angles from pretty much all sides at this stage and it's absolutely not conclusive.

What a strike by Declan Rice to give Arsenal the lead against Real Madrid.

Arsenal have just had two chances cleared off the line. One by Merino and the other by Rice.

Arsenal have dominated the second half.

Unbelievable, Rice has just scored another stunner.

What a goal. Even better than his first one!!
