Renault is expected to vote on whether to stop producing their own F1 engines. This decision would turn Alpine into a customer team, likely powered by Mercedes.

Sounds like a fantastic couple of daysI saw some F1 cars earlier this week. I went to the F1 exhibition in London on Monday. It was good, with some cool exhibits. I got to see how bloody big the current F1 cars are (this is the RB16b, Max's championship car).

They also had Grosjean's car from his crash in 2020. It's unbelievable that he got out of it and survived when you see the damage.

And, I went to Silverstone on Tuesday. The museum wasn't as good from a storytelling point of view, but way more cars to look at. Some examples are Damon Hill's championship car, Daniel Ricciardo's 2014 Red Bull (which is beautiful in person, the purple is class) and Nigel Mansell's championship Williams and championship Indy car side by side (F1 cars are better).

The bonus on Tuesday was that there was some private testing going on the track, so I got to see somebody (no idea who) do a few laps in a 2021 McLaren, and was able to stand at Luffield.

A good couple of days. If you are an F1 fan and are in London and have time, I'd definitely recommend going to see one or both of the exhibitions.

Formula 1 is to drop the award of a bonus point for fastest lap from the 2025 season.
The decision, made by the world motorsports council of governing body the FIA, comes in the wake of a controversy over RB's Daniel Ricciardo taking the point away from title contender Lando Norris in the last race in Singapore.
RB are the sister outfit of Red Bull, whose driver Max Verstappen is in a championship battle with McLaren's Norris.
Verstappen is facing an increasing threat from Briton Norris, who has cut the Dutchman's drivers' championship lead to 52 points.
The bonus point is only awarded to a driver who finishes in the top 10 so Ricciardo, who finished 18th in Singapore, did not get the extra point.
Speaking at the drivers' press conference before this weekend's United States Grand Prix, Norris said: "I don't know why they've done it. I quite like how it is now, there is an opportunity to go for something else. You pay the price for risking it, if your pit stop goes wrong or something.
"If it's something like Singapore, it's the correct thing to do, but I don't think people should change it just because of Singapore."
The FIA was not immediately able to provide the reason for the change being made to a rule that was introduced in 2019
