Some managers must be worried about their jobs as we enter the busy festive period - Arteta, Wilder, Bruce and possibly Hodgson after today's drubbing?

I wonder how much Arteta telling the squad they had to take pay cuts to save jobs and then the Arsenal board sacks people anyway has this affected the morale of the squad and trust in the manager.

Ozil refused to take a pay cut as he didn't trust the board to keep their word and he was proven to be right.

I also wonder was Arteta then forced by the board to drop Ozil.

October: Utd concede 6 at home, Liverpool concedes 7 away, on the same weekend.
December: Utd score 6 at home, Liverpool score 7 away, on the same weekend.

Funny old game, eh?

That Burnley win today has definitely put Arsenal in the thick of a relegation dog fight.

The Gunners have Chelsea up next. A win could transform their season. Anything else and Arteta will be under serious pressure.

Good match between Man United and Leicester which ended 2-2 with both teams have to settle for a point although they will both feel they could have won with the chances they created.

Get the feeling every time I watch Man United that they have to score 2 or 3 goals every game to win because their defence keeps giving up cheap goals.

A good and much-needed and maybe unexpected win for Arsenal against Chelsea.

Everton's win at bottom club Sheffield United sees them jump into 2nd place in the league. Chris Wilder must be in danger of losing his job.

And Roy Hodgson could also be in danger of losing his job after Crystal Palace got thumped 3-0 by Aston Villa who played the second half with 10 men after Mings was sent off for two bookable offences.

After tonight's result, Liverpool have now drawn with Brighton, Fulham, West Brom and Newcastle this season, on paper that should be an easy 12 points. Is it down to the wrong tactics or just the players not being up for the game?

Everybody is having the same issues, the intensity is gone with no crowds. Most teams have looked lethargic in most of the games. Also, the number of games over the past few weeks has probably contributed. The league looks wide open this year - a few weeks ago everyone was calling for Solskjaer to be sacked but United are sitting 2nd in the league.

Sheffield United have won their first league match this season, beating Newcastle 1-0 and likely heaping further pressure on Toon boss Steve Bruce

Man United are top of the Premier League and Ole is still at the wheel!!!

Man United deserve to be top, their form over the last 6 games has been excellent. They have only dropped 2 points.

Everton and Man City are the other inform teams - picking up 15 and 14 points respectively.

Of the other potential league challengers, Liverpool has only won two of their last 6 and Tottenham, who led the table not too long ago, have only picked up one win. Chelsea has also only won once but they have also lost 4 of their last 6.
