It's tempting to get the early access but seems a bit daft when it's one of the best reasons to have Game Pass. Will let the more money than sense crowd iron out the early bugsI've got it downloaded, I haven't upgraded so I will have to wait until it comes out to play it although I may upgrade before release.
If you're planning to preload Starfield on PC, be warned: the game weighs in at just under 140 GB.
According to Xbox.com, the Windows PC version of Bethesda's sci-fi role-playing game is approximately 139.84 GB. It's a smaller install on Xbox Series X and S: 126.1 GB.
Starfield preloading started on August 17 on Xbox Series X and S, and Windows PC, well ahead of the official September 6 release date. But Steam users can't preload until August 30. The Starfield Steam page still says players will need 125 GB of available storage space.
I'll probably wait a few weeks before jumping in. The nature of these games usually means they're pretty buggy on launch even if the core game is fine.Preloading it right now. Not sure when I'll have the time to play it but at least it will be there and waiting!
I'll be surprised if it's good, I'm expecting mediocre as most of these sci-fi open world types end up being.
Looks so similar to No Man's Sky which I lost interest in very quickly though that game has been updated lots since then!
I'm hearing it's running as well as it could be, "most polished Bethesda game ever launched" is the word going around Twitter/X. Also going by that 30 minute gameplay leak it looks fine, but was running off a SX at 30fps.Preloading it right now. Not sure when I'll have the time to play it but at least it will be there and waiting!

I've just upgraded via the Iceland store. It worked out at £17.83Really looking forward to Starfield just wondering whether to lay £20 via Iceland shop to get early access?
