Thread to discuss the coaches and GM's that are out, new hires, promotions etc.

Vacancies:

Jacksonville - Head Coach
Las Vegas - Head Coach/GM
Denver - Head Coach
Miami - Head Coach
Minnesota - Head Coach
Chicago - Head Coach/GM
NY Giants - Head Coach/GM
Houston - Head Coach
New Orleans - Head Coach

Hot Seat:

David Culley - Houston
Matt Rhule - Carolina
Pete Carroll - Seattle (?)

I think Zimmer and Fangio will both be back as DCs if fired, I'm not sure if Carroll and Rhule get fired, would seem strange but this is the NFL.

The Flores one is surprising to be honest. Thought he was a good coach hampered by poor QB play.

Interesting to see if the Raiders stick or twist with their interim coach given they made the playoffs.

Gettleman has retired, unbelievably the Giants are sticking with Judge!

Absolute shocker that the Dolphins fired Flores. I generally think he's done well, albeit not perfect. They're a lot better than when he took over.

I'm really surprised by Flores' sacking too. The others so far are to be expected.

The Dolphins went 8-1 since October! Aren't they after Harbaugh?

Apparently, he had been clashing with the GM all season so one had to go and Grier had more sway being with the team longer. Probably means no Watson to Dolphins as Flores was a big pull on him wanting to go there so they'll be sticking with Tua.

The biggest shocker is that 'clown show' Judge hasn't been booted out the door already.

If Joe Judge was safe before Sunday football that QB sneak on 3rd and 9 should give the Giants a reason to fire him. Forget teams and rivalries for a second but any HC who allows that crap to happen should be shown the door.

The Broncos are casting a wide net - the one person I am surprised is not on their interview list so far is Dennis Allen (who was done over with the Raiders in his first stint as HC).

I expect that Dan Quinn is the favourite - he has a history with Paton (they were poised to become an HC/GM combo with the Bears in 2015 but Paton chose to stay in Minnesota and Quinn went on to take the job in Atlanta).

If Quinn gets it - look for the Broncos to bring in an OC from the Shanahan/Kubiak tree - possibly Klint Kubiak now that Zimmer has been sacked by the Vikings - or Mike McDaniel who is OC in SF in name only.

This one seems a bit out of the left field.
He's really sharp! Might be the next big thing. I'd take the young up and comer over Zimmer, the optics of hiring a Pats defensive assistant notwithstanding.
