Definitely doesn't fit the system but never judge Guardiola signings after one season. Mahrez, Cancelo, and Rodri to name but three who were underwhelming in their first 12 months at City.

Some big results in the Premier League today.

Man City dropped points against West Ham. City were two goals down at half-time but came back to claim a point. They missed a second-half penalty which would have given them all three points and almost certainly the title. Liverpool are now 4 points behind but have played a game less.

Spurs beat Burnley 1-0 to move ahead of Arsenal in the Champions League race. The defeat drops Burnley back into the relegation places because Leeds scored an injury-time equaliser to earn a point at home to Brighton.

In the late game, Brentford come from behind to beat Everton 3-2 at Goodison. Everton finished the game with 9 men after two red cards. The defeat also means Everton is still in the relegation mix, just two points ahead of Burnley with both still got two games to play. Leeds are a point ahead of Burnley but have only one game left.

I think Burnley will go down. I can't see them taking anything off Villa or Newcastle.

Newcastle beat Arsenal 2-0. A convincing win against a lacklustre Arsenal team who look set to miss out on the top 4 and Champions League football next season.

Liverpool win again and stay within one point of Manchester City going into the final day of the season.

Leeds and Burnley have written to the Premier League over a belief Everton seriously breached financial rules.

Both clubs wrote a letter to the governing body asking whether the Premier League investigated Everton, who lost £371.8 million over the last three years, what the outcome of the investigation was and if they intend to impose any sanctions.

Premier League clubs are allowed to lose a maximum of £105 million over three years as part of the profit and financial sustainability rules. COVID-related losses can be written off.

Leeds and Burnley have pointed out that Everton's pandemic-related losses were more than three times that of other similarly sized clubs. Everton said £170 million of their losses in their annual accounts were related to the pandemic. Aston Villa, for example, put their own figure at £56 million.

The Goodison Park club also only generated £14 million a season from matchday income before the pandemic and the forced closure of football stadiums.

Unbelievable scenes in the Man City game. They were 2-0 down to Villa with 15 minutes remaining. They've scored 3 goals in 6 minutes to lead and looks like they will retain the league title.

Liverpool have just taken the lead in their game so any slip up by City and the title goes to Anfield.
