A circular, travelling spin where the dancer continues rotating while switching direction or arm positions, creating an "orbiting" pathway around the pole. Works exceptionally well on spin pole.
A dramatic spin where the dancer leans forward with straight legs behind them, creating a long, forward-reaching shape reminiscent of an ostrich’s posture.
A classic beginner spin where the outside leg hooks behind the pole while the dancer rotates in a circular pathway. Smooth, easy to learn, and frequently used in early choreography.
Also known as Scorpio, this is one of the two foundational leg hangs. The inside leg hooks, but the torso rotates outward, creating a stable, side-facing inverted hang.
A hand position where the dancer reaches high overhead with fully extended arms to maintain leverage and stability. Often used in climbs and spin entries.
Any split-line trick taken beyond 180°, often supported by the pole. Requires extreme flexibility and excellent control. Seen in moves like oversplit jade, oversplit nutcracker, or oversplit moth.
